Flytrex, a leader in autonomous drone delivery, is partnering with Nash to build an autonomous-first, multi-modal delivery model across its operations.
The integration is now live at every Flytrex site in Dallas-Fort Worth. Flytrex uses autonomous drones to provide fast, on-demand delivery in suburban communities, and for each incoming order, Nash's dynamic dispatch evaluates real-time conditions, including weather, distance, order requirements, and available capacity. Flytrex drones handle the vast majority of eligible orders, while deliveries better suited to the ground are dispatched through Nash to a gig courier.
Customers receive one consistent experience regardless of how the order moves. Behind the scenes, Nash helps Flytrex maintain autonomous-first service while keeping every order on track. The result is a more scalable model for expanding drone delivery across changing conditions, order types, and markets.
Drone delivery has reached a new stage of maturity. Flytrex has completed more than 200,000 deliveries across the United States, showing that autonomous delivery can provide fast, reliable service at meaningful volume.
But the next challenge is scaling the operation. Even when drones can fulfill the vast majority of deliveries, some orders will need another path. Weather can shift, destinations may fall outside the service area, and certain orders may be too large or require a handoff better suited to a ground courier. Local regulations, time of day, and available fleet capacity can also affect how an order should move.
At lower volumes, autonomous operators can manage those exceptions through their own courier networks. As the business expands across more orders and markets, that approach adds drivers, dispatch systems, provider relationships, and ground operations to manage. Autonomous delivery can only scale if every order has a reliable path to the customer without forcing the operator to build a second delivery business around its core network.
Flytrex and Nash are taking a more scalable approach to autonomous delivery. Flytrex remains autonomous-first, with drones handling orders wherever they are the strongest option. Nash evaluates each incoming order against real-time conditions and routes deliveries better suited to the ground through its provider network of on-demand couriers.

This gives Flytrex the flexibility to respond to weather, distance, order size, local restrictions, and changing fleet capacity while keeping autonomy at the center of the operation. It also gives every order a reliable fulfillment path without requiring Flytrex to build and manage a separate ground-delivery network in each market.
For customers, the experience remains consistent. They place an order, receive updates, and get the delivery as promised. The decision about how the order moves happens behind the scenes.
The integration gives Flytrex a repeatable operating model as it grows nationally. Each new site can launch with autonomous delivery as the primary mode and ground capacity available when conditions require it. Flytrex can stay focused on developing and operating its drone network, while Nash manages order-level decisioning and access to additional delivery capacity.
This creates a consistent way to serve orders that fall outside drone delivery conditions without rebuilding a separate ground operation in every market. As Flytrex expands, the same model can extend to each new site.
The partnership also creates a clearer way for merchants to adopt drone delivery. Merchants using Nash can add Flytrex as an autonomous option in supported markets while maintaining coverage across their full order mix. Eligible orders can move by drone, while Nash routes other deliveries through ground providers based on real-time conditions and the merchant's operating priorities.
Merchants can manage every delivery through one coordinated operation, without separate systems or manual decisions about how each order should move.
The integration is live across Flytrex's Dallas-Fort Worth operations and will expand to future sites as the company grows nationally. We're excited to build this model with Flytrex and bring autonomous-first delivery to more merchants, customers, and markets.
Flytrex joins autonomous vehicles, drones, and sidewalk robots already running in Nash's provider network. The launch has picked up coverage from BusinessWire, DroneLife, and QSR Magazine.
