Store transfer

Moving stock or equipment from one of your own locations to another: store to store, branch to branch, depot to branch. The ERP records it as a transfer order. Someone still has to put it on a truck, and that is where the cost sits. A transfer planned on its own is a dedicated trip. Planned with the day's routes, it rides on capacity you are already paying for, often the empty return leg of a delivery. Nash plans transfers alongside customer deliveries so they share trips.

Where this fits

The day-to-day vocabulary of running deliveries. Routes, waves, drops, manifests, ETAs, SLAs. These are the units operators reason in, and the inputs every downstream model needs.
